We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.

Wish I Was A Butterfly

I love this butterfly. I saw it on Tat's Heaven and instantly decided that I must tat it. It's very pretty!

Pattern by Cristina (Redazione). Tatted using Guttermann Sulky #12 cotton, colour #4014

Butterfly Fly Away

Wings: Omega #50 (Purple & Peach)
Body: DMC Perle #12 Col 3033
Size: 2½ x 1½"

It's been a really busy week. I have been tatting my piece for the In Tatters June exchange. I found a really brilliant butterfly pattern by Ladyshuttlemaker. I love the way the butterfly poses. And while I was going through my head on which thread to use for the butterfly, I suddenly remembered that I'd bought some new thread from Handy Hands. So here's the test piece. Isn't the butterfly pretty? I love it. I hope my exchange partner likes her piece too. It's in a slightly different shade. Oh yes, I did the sketch on the card too.

Incidentally, I watched a fabulous movie with my niece two weeks ago -- 'Hanana Montana' and I loved the song 'Butterfly Fly Away' by Miley Cyrus. It was lovely. Here's the link if you're interested to catch a glimpse of it.

And I'm on to tatting something else... (Hint: Lace-Loving Librarian's favourite tatted item...)

Till the next post,
XOXO
