We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.

A Zipper Bag
This bag was a bit more challenging, with a zipper added. The result is a happy one -- the zipper was almost hidden and the sewing was not too bad at all. It will serve as another tatting bag!

A Drawstring Pouch
Next, I learnt to sew a two-faced drawstring pouch. It's great that I can choose whichever side or fabric I want to use it on. I'm already planning to sew a few to add tatting on.

C for Curve
The next sewing lesson entailed sewing curve lines. We got to sew along the curved edge, joining two pieces of fabric to form this neck pillow. Not easy at all!
This sewing exercise was useful. I now have a pillow to prop up my head when I tat in my lazy chair. Uh oh, does this sound somewhat bizzare? Oh well...

Tote from Sewing Class
This was from the 2nd and 3rd lessons in the basic sewing class I attended. Simple machine applique (I think it qualifies as that) on the front (here) and a cute pocket on the back.
If you are keen to see what else I've learnt to sew, there are more coming up.

In Sewing Class
I signed up for a basic bag sewing class and it started 2 weeks ago on a Saturday. This is a sewing tools kit each of us had to complete from the first lesson. Pretty useful to hold the essentials.
In the second lesson, I learned to apply some applique to what would become a tote bag. I got to 'play' with a few fancy stitches by the sewing machine. Was fun. A bit more confidence gained on using a sewing machine now. This is part one to the bag session. Looking forward to the next.
