Clumsy Clunies

No, not really... It's me. I'm the clumsy one. LOL

Saw Karen Cabrera's video on youtube. Decided to give it a try. Finally. So I picked up my shuttles and practiced tatting clunies. Guess you can see the reason for the title of this post.

My first attempts at clunies
OK, I'll keep practicing. One day... one day I'll get them right. Thanks, Karen, for sharing the video.

  1. I think you're off to a great start! Your clunies look fine to me! I've been checking different videos and see different kinds of 'looms'. This one is interesting, and it's shown clearly. I like the split ring leading up to it, as it's something to hold onto, and has the two color threads on each shuttle - very important for learning. Thanks for the link!

I'm grateful to those who take the time to make videos! I have trouble just loading photos into my blog!

I also admire your cute teddy bears. I smile every time I see the one in your Profile!

  2. You are doing great!
It has taken me two years! TWO YEARS - and mine are still not the way I want them to be! Keep up the good work. It's worth the practice as they are so lovely in tatted pieces.
