A Gift: Star No. 4

I'm into tatting pretty motifs for pendants lately, besides beading with cabochons. This one's from Tatting Patterns and Designs by Gun Blomqvist and Elwy Persson, on page 35. Got some Flora #20 threads that I like and so here it is... It's a gift for a dear friend's birthday. It was presented to her yesterday and she loved it. :D I really like the colours. Can you tell the rings were tatted from a single coloured thread whereas the chains are from a variegated?

  1. Now that is really pretty Valerie!!! I can see why your friend loved it! I never would have guessed that wasn't all tatted from the same color, if you hadn't said something. :)

  3. It's absolutely stunning! The colors are beautiful and there is nothing more gorgeous than something that has been tatted.

  4. I enjoy seeing your tatting works coming together. It is an art that requires a lot of patience. Good for you!

  5. It's beautiful! And no, I hadn't noticed about the solid rings and variegated chains until I read your post. I only saw lovely, lovely lace.
